Delegate Booking Terms & Conditions

1. INTRODUCTION AND DEFINITIONS

1.1 The Maritime Standard Ship Finance and Trade Conference (the “Event”) is organised and managed by Flagship Events LLC, a company registered in Dubai with the registered office at Oasis Centre, Office number 108, Shk. Zayed Road, PO Box 25980, Dubai, UAE.

1.2 References to “us” means Flagship Events LLC and references to “we” and “our” shall be construed accordingly. Reference to “you” means the Delegate, and/or the person, firm, company, entity or organization completing a booking form and references to “your” shall be construed accordingly.

1.3 “Booking” means a booking for your delegates to attend the event made by you to us by submitting a booking form.

1.4 “Booking Form” means an application for your delegates to attend the event made by you to Flagship Events LLC.

1.5 “Fee” means the total sum payable by you to us as specified in the booking form.

2. BOOKING

2.1 You may request a delegate place at the event either:

2.1.1 online by completing the online booking form and submitting it.

2.1.2 by email by completing a booking form and emailing it Flagship Events LLC.

2.2 All booking requests at the event are subject to availability.

2.3 By submitting a booking form, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

3. PRICES AND PAYMENT

3.1 Prices are set out on the booking form and/or the event website. In order to qualify for any ‘early bird’ rates, booking and payment must be received before the deadline date listed.

3.2 Once you receive an invoice you are liable for all outstanding payments for your delegate place, whether or not you attend the event.

3.3 The Fee shall be payable by you to Flagship Events LLC in full and in cleared funds into our nominated bank account within fifteen (15) days of the date of the invoice. In all cases fees shall in any event be paid at least 30 days before the commencement of the event. For any bookings made within 30 days of the event, payment must be made immediately. You are responsible for paying all bank charges.

3.4 If payment is not received in full Flagship Events LLC may refuse the delegate admission to the Event.

3.5 VAT will be charged at the rate of 5% as per UAE FTA guidelines.

4. PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARDS

4.1 We accept payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard) and any other cards listed on our checkout page.

4.2 You warrant that the credit card you use is your own, valid, and has sufficient credit limit to complete the transaction.

4.3 By submitting your credit card information you authorize us to charge your card for the amount of the purchase, plus any applicable taxes, shipping and handling, and any other fees.

5. CREDIT CARD PAYMENT PROCESSING

5.1 All payments must be processed through our authorised payment gateway. We do not store full credit-card details except as permitted by law and our processor’s rules.

5.2 Your payment is deemed received when we obtain a successful authorization from your card issuer and the funds are settled into our account.

5.3 If your card issuer refuses or fails to honour the payment for any reason (e.g., insufficient funds, blocked card, expired card), we may cancel or suspend your Booking immediately.

5.4 All transactions are billed in UAE Dirhams [AED], unless otherwise stated.

5.5 If your card is denominated in a different currency, your card issuer may apply a foreign-currency conversion charge and/or cross‐border fee. We are not responsible for such charges.

5.6 We reserve the right to change our accepted currencies in our sole discretion.

6. CHANGES TO THE EVENT

6.1 It may be necessary for reasons beyond our reasonable control to alter the advertised content, timing and/or location of the event or the advertised speakers. We reserve the right to do this at any time.

6.2 We shall not be liable to you for travel, accommodation or other costs and expenses incurred by delegates if we are required to cancel or relocate the event as a result of an event outside our reasonable control (including, without limitation, due to acts of God, severe weather, fire, explosion, military or terrorist acts (or threats of any such acts), any industrial action or widespread illness etc.

7. SUBSTITUTIONS & CANCELLATIONS POLICY

7.1 Delegates may nominate an alternative person from their organisation to attend up to 7 days prior to the start of the event, at no extra charge.

7.2 Should substitution not be possible, cancellation charges apply as follows:

7.2.1 4 weeks or more prior to start of event: 25% of the delegate fee.

7.2.2 Less than 4 weeks prior to start of event: 100% of the delegate fee.

7.3 All substitutions and cancellations must be received in writing. No-shows will be charged the full rate.

8. REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & CHARGEBACKS

8.1 Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Refunds, if any, will be credited back to the original credit card used.

8.2 If you cancel an booking, you must notify us via email. Any cancellation may be subject to a cancellation fee as set forth in section 7.

8.3 You agree to first contact us at info@flagshipme.com to resolve any payment dispute.

8.4 If you initiate a chargeback without giving us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue, we may block further orders and recover any chargeback fees from you.

8.5 In the event of chargebacks or disputed transactions initiated by you or your card issuer, you agree to indemnify us for any losses, fees or expenses (including legal costs) incurred by us.

8.6 We may refuse future bookings if we detect repeated chargebacks or suspicious behaviour.

9. FEES & PROCESSING CHARGES

9.1 You are responsible for any transaction fees, bank charges, currency conversion costs or card-issuer surcharges imposed by your bank or credit-card provider.

9.2 We may pass through or add a surcharge for credit-card payments, if permitted by law and disclosed at checkout.

10. AMENDMENTS

10.1 We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will provide notice of material changes become effective by posting them on our website.

10.2 Your continued use of our payment services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

11. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and such federal laws of the UAE applicable in the Emirate of Dubai and disputes under or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Dubai.

12. MISCELLANEOUS

12.1 If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.

12.2 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding payment by credit card and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications regarding the subject matter.
