David spent three decades as a frontline presenter and broadcaster for the BBC, filling the posts of Europe Correspondent, Ireland Correspondent and Senior Sports News Correspondent, before becoming Chief Presenter on BBC TV News and World Channels.

David has covered stories as wide-ranging as the death of Princess Diana, to the Peace Process in Northern Ireland, to FIFA World Cups, Olympic Games, and many of the major crises of our times. He also created ‘Climate Critical’ – a weekly insight into climate issues on BBC World TV and has developed a keen interest in environmental, energy and future minerals issues.

He has a strong track record as an MC and moderator at national and international events taking him around the world, including COPs, The Future Minerals Forum, the UN Oceans Conference and many sustainability events.
