Abdullah Humaid Al Hameli is the CEO of the Economic Cities & Free Zones Cluster at AD Ports Group.

With more than 15 years of experience in different industries,
including Human Resources and Administration, Maritime Trade, Finance and Corporate Operations and Services, Al Hameli currently oversees the growth and expansion strategy of the AD Ports Group’s industrial and commercial zones portfolio.

Prior to his current role, Al Hameli looked after the corporate services function across AD Ports Group’s entire portfolio as Executive Vice President Corporate Support at AD Ports Group. He also served as Acting Executive Director of the Finance and Administration Affairs Sector, and Advisor to the Chairman in the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), overseeing the development of DMT’s general strategy, as well as the corporate sector strategy and its internal policies and procedures.

Al Hameli also served as the Acting CEO of Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) prior to joining the Department of Municipalities and Transport. As Acting CEO, he was responsible for leading and executing the overall strategy, activities and performance, as well as the marketing and communications activities at ADT.

Within AD Ports Group, Al Hameli served as Vice President, Human Resources & Emiratisation, where he successfully developed and delivered strategic plans, policies and procedures to help leverage the ultilisation of human resources, including the smooth operation of the Emiratisation programme.

Al Hameli has also provided guidelines for policies and procedures that defined the operating protocols, systems and controls within corporate services, and fostered effective communication with key internal and external stakeholders.

Moreover, he ensured efficient implementation of allowances, benefits and welfare measures for employees. Al Hameli has also worked in the Human Resources and General Services sector in one of ADNOC subsidiaries (IRSHAD), which involved managing four stations with more than 600 employees.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Portland State University, Oregon, USA, and a Master’s degree in Strategic and Security Studies from the UAE National Defense College.
